Description
The Minor Prophets
As the present dispensation of grace approaches its end, as the long-predicted upheaval of the world kingdoms and their judgment at the hand of God draws nigh, and the "glorious things" which God has spoken concerning His covenant people of Israel are about to be fulfilled, these words of God`s prophets of olden time, which were not brought by the will of men, but spoken by them "from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit" (2 Peter 1:21), come to be of special interest and value to us, "upon whom the ends of the ages are come" (1 Corinthians 10:11). And as the Apostle speaks in 2 Peter 1:19, we are to take heed to the Word of prophecy, as "unto a lamp that shineth in a dark place, until the Day dawn, and the Day-Star arise." May such be the use made of these Expository Notes form the pen of the Lord`s departed servant.
