Description
The Gospel and a path of separation
ELECTION!... Perhaps no after word in Scripture brings out in Christians more fear, anger and distrust. Many Christians have contented themselves by simply explaining away this doctrine or in so weakening it that God becomes the servant of man`s whim. Yet, along with its associated words (such a predestination, called and chosen), election _ the sovereign choice of God in man`s salvation _ is clearly taught in almost every book of the New Testament.
"But it seems so unfair," you may say. However, once we understand from Scripture the need for election, something of how it works, and how it balances out and actually strengthens our gospel efforts and our personal and assembly walk with God, we will find it a doctrine that is worthy only of God Himself. Instead of being an unfair doctrine we will see election to be the only way that anyone is saved in spite of God`s sincere proclamation that "whosoever will may come" and His love for all of mankind as proven at the cross of Christ. To this end, for the glory of God, we present this little book.
