“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of faith”” (Heb. 12:2) is an exhortation for all of us. A note on the translation of the Greek word for “looking” says that it “has the force of looking away from other things and fixing the eye exclusively on one” (JND). There is no more valuable occupation for the believer than to be occupied with the Lord Jesus. We find Him in the Gospels, but we also find Him in the Old Testament. A study of Psalm 16 can be an effective way of “looking unto Jesus”. This book is an effort to “consider” Him in His perfect pathway as a Man on earth. May this occupation warm many hearts and give strength to follow Him in the path of faith, until He comes.
