Thank the Lord for Believer’s Bookshelf Canada’s continued involvement in serving the Lord and His saints. Working together with other literature ministries and missionaries abroad, it is still able to distribute sound Christian literature throughout the world.

Except for large quantities of calendars printed more economically on offset press, BBCan prints its literature “in house” on its own print-on-demand equipment. This enables distribution of a greater variety of titles to mission fields rather than saturating them with just one title and saves on storage costs as books are all stored digitally. A selection of its POD books are available in digital format on Amazon and iTunes and also to missionaries on request.

For financial reasons, print production has been slowed down and BBCan is focusing more on distributing more of the books in stock from pre print-on-demand times, such as books by CHM, FWG, JND, RKC and many more. One such outlet is; two young people from Europe listed BBCan’s full inventory on Amazon last year, helping greatly to make our literature available to those outside our fellowship, so making some good contacts. One believer stated that since reading these writings “a whole new world of Christianity has opened up to Him.

BBCan has printed six new titles since EBC 2017. Meanwhile its printing equipment has been put to good use printing for related ministries such as Believers Bookshelf USA, “The Holy Scriptures and Israel” Bible Society and various other ministries and missionaries.

The Lord Is Near, English

Thank the Lord, for many years He has blessed the publication of this daily devotional. Through various ministries it is now available in English, French, Spanish, Dutch, Russian, Romanian, and Ukrainian, and a Greek translation is in the works.

It is now printed in March each year so as to get the Grace & Truth container to Nigeria as fast as possible, to get it to arrive and clear customs before the new year begins. About 26,000 calendars were printed this year, but demand seems to be increasing. Many calendars as well as other literature have already been shipped to mission fields throughout the world: Nigeria, Kenya, Ethiopia, Ghana, Jamaica, Bahamas, St. Vincent, St. Kitts/Nevis, Barbados, St. Lucia, Guyana, Trinidad, Grenada, Dominica, Antigua, Hungary, Romania and the Philippines. There were some new requests this year from Haiti and Totola, an island in the British Virgin Islands.

The Lord Is Near, Spanish

Brother Ricardo Vasconcelo in Chile has been busy again translating The Lord Is Near into Spanish. Each year he has them printed and distributes them to Spanish-speaking countries on his travels. It has been well received. Albert Blok will travel to Colombia in September with funds which will be used to print one thousand of them in Colombia.

In conclusion: With two years left on our lease and funds on the decline, we are prayerfully looking to the Lord for wisdom as to how to continue this small work He has entrusted to us. We often feel our weakness, but through Him we can do all things. Please pray for Believer’s Bookshelf Canada as we gladly serve our soon-coming Lord and His saints!
